Gigi and Kevin Carter, CARA adopters, donated
$15,000 toward the construction of the first-class dog park on CARA
property in Jackson. The dog park is named Bree’s Bark Park in honor of Bree, the dog, Gigi adopted from CARA in 2011. When Bree first came to CARA she was covered in mange with little chance for survival but now she is a healthy, happy dog. Gigi wanted Bree and other dogs to experience dog parks like the ones in Houston, Seattle, and other large cities where she has lived. “Bree’s Bark Park allows CARA and other local dogs a space to run, play and have fun,” Gigi noted. “It provides a venue for dog lovers in the community to come together for a common interest.”
If you would like to make a donation to CARA for Bree's Bark Park for the ongoing maintenance and additional features we would like to add, please mail your donation to CARA, PO Box 231, Clinton, MS 39060. Help us spread the word and “Like” us on Facebook.
CARA would like to thank Gigi Carter and the Gannett Foundation for helping make our dream of a first-class dog park for the Jackson metro area a reality. If you would like additional information, please contact Ann Somers at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Ozzy is a male gray tiger cat who is about 6 months old. He is very affectionate and likes to walk with people. He was brought to CARA after being found in a car engine. If you are interested in Ozzy, please click on the link below.
Matt is about 3 months old and we believe he is a male Chihuahua/Brussels Griffon mix. Matt loves to play, enjoys his toys, as all children do, but his favorite activity is being held and sharing snuggles. Please understand that because of his itty-bitty size, we will be looking for a home without small children. If you are interested in adopting Matt, please click on the link below.
